The challenge
Center Parcs, a leading forest holiday provider in the UK, approached Atomic with the goal of enhancing the guest experience through a bespoke mobile app. The app needed to allow guests to plan and manage their stays across six villages, while integrating seamlessly with the existing booking and guest management systems. The challenge was to ensure the app was both intuitive and rich in features, catering to the diverse needs of guests during their short stays.
The solution
Atomic conducted a comprehensive customer research and technical planning process, placing guests at the center of the development to identify key requirements and prioritise essential features. Built natively for both iOS and Android, the app integrates seamlessly with Center Parcs' existing booking and guest management systems, delivering a smooth, user-friendly experience. Guests can check in online, book activities and dining in advance, navigate Villages with an interactive map, view accommodation details, and access important Village information, such as opening hours and restaurant menus. The app also sends push notifications, keeping users informed throughout their stay.
The outcome
The app proved to be an instant success, with over 70,000 downloads in the first week, quickly topping the app download charts. Atomic remains Center Parcs’ trusted development partner, continuing to work on new features as part of a longer-term roadmap aimed at further enhancing the guest experience and adapting to future needs.
